A DREAM by Liz Hargrove

Featured Poems SS 2019

My best friend's eyes -- rolling marbles no longer connected to anything,

no recognition, no response, no nothing.

Tall, slender body gracefully moves in memory.

With aching heart stamping feet, crying out her name- no help.

Never again to talk, laugh, share- I am lost.

Liz Hargrove, formerly a Marriage and Family Therapist in Pasadena CA retired to Sedona 24 years ago.  She has two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
