Bertram Allan Mullin FW 2017

Bertram Allan Mullin, or BAM, concentrated in creative writing at the University of Houston. He was a journalist, a columnist, and co-founder of a writer’s workshop. His awarded and featured writing appears in over one hundred publications including Akashic Books for his noir, “Gumshoe.” StoryShelter’s “I AM HERE” anthology has his short, “Far From the Crowd,” coined the editor’s favorite piece. “Yelling Unheard” and “Death Pie” won Halloween contests with Story64 and Bartleby Snopes respectively. BAM’s in the Wordsmith Series for “Kindness and Decency,” which appears in Crack the Spine’s 14th anthology. He writes in Japan and teaches English. New Years Eve, an epiphany on my mind, or more so a sobering headache of a realization, which wouldn’t go

away—an annoyance, really: With all the high tech gadgets and zillions of inventors in the world, “Where, was my damn

flying car?”
