Coffeehouse Poem # 172 by Erren Geraud Kelly

Met a girl who wore
A Chicago cubs t-shirt
And it reminded me of
Days riding the el trains
When I found poetry
In blues
God in soul food
And riches in watching
A woman sway her hips
Poetry was the currency that
Bought me the world
