Looking for Serenity

Blinded by Earthly eyes, where is my ethereal vision?
Weighed down by the trials of life, into difficult submission.

Blinds drawn upon the scenic beauty
Faithless following in the name of duty
the same woes, the same pain everyday
Guilt kept bubbled in, for it is here to stay

Endless conversations, tedious discussions
 same injuries, same concussions
Past runs ahead of the present, the ghosts never die
memories never fade, words never lie

Upon the mantle of deceit, pass on this legacy
Open up the chained ghosts, finally set them free!
I selfish aye! Cruel, Cold-hearted
so says She, the willfully departed

Tired, crushed, brow beaten – I bleed
These wounds should be long healed, indeed
Cruel currents of destiny, wash up on my shore
O Foul faced Fate, how much more?

Why don’t you heal me, where is my soothing balm?
Why don’t your turbulent waters retire back to calm?

Let the past stand still, let me walk ahead

or let me meet the future with open arms instead.
