night the brutal skull by David McLean

night the brutal skull

we sleep under numb night the brutal skull
no words left in it, insects & innocence,
we sleep the terrible membrane
blood & the fang is absence

the light falling under sidewalks
& there are no ghosts to do this walking
through love or their hunger, just bones
& homeless

there is no killing here, just everyday murder
