When negative is positively per-
fect, you're in the Twilight Zone of medi-
cine, probing for diseases which are lur-
king, hiding in the sludge of sedi-
ment. We'd ruled out the dread horror terri-
fying us, or thought we had until mis-
takes appeared, to denigrate our merri-
ment, transformed abrubptly into anger, hys-
terically erupting from frustra-
tion. We're new to this apparently per-
vasive, cruel ineptitude, constant may-
hem that demands bewildered scans of mur-
ky shadows, details fuzzy, still obscured
enough to make us need to be assured
that someone, in such turmoil, can be cured.
