Hold tight to my hand

never look back.

I'm taking you to a place

where it rains everyday.

Darkness hovers; suffocates

till night makes its way.

This place is called Hell

but it's not found below.

It's rooted in the mind

and grips onto the soul.

It possesses your smiles

and throws them away.

A knife in your throat;

the demon won't sway.

What you encounter

may scare you to death.

Your mind becomes blank

and there's no catching your breath.

It rapes all your confidence

and burns everything out-

till nothing is left of yourself

just pain and self doubt.

A scary place it is

 where I don't like to be,

but I wish you could visit

 and understand about me.

So hang tight to my hand

and I'll guide you back home

because no one should ever

be there alone.
