Rex Sexton

Rex Sexton FW -2015

Rex Sexton, a writer and an artist. His award winning visual works have been televised on PBS, written about in newspapers, reproduced in magazines, shown in museums and included in national and international exhibitions. He has written six 5 star rated books which consist of novels and collections of stories and poems. Recipient of an Eric Hoffer award for prose, his short story “Holy Night” was published in Best New Writing 2007. His poem “Orchard” received the 2012 Annual Editor-in-Chief Award from Möbius, The Poetry Magazine. His poem “Ashes of Winter” was runner up for The 2011 Doctor Zylpha Mapp Robinson International Poetry Award. His poem “Gift Wrapped” was nominated for a 2013 Pushcart Prize by Kind of a Hurricane Press. Recent fiction has appeared in Talking River, Saranac Review, The Long Story, and recent poetry in Waterways, Taproot, and The Stray Branch.

Sadly, on August 31st 2015 Rex passed away. His talents and friendship will be greatly missed.
