Nikoo tarkhani: Published in issue #7 Spring/Summer 2011 Statement: based on latest discussions about feminism and post feminism; things became a bit obscured. what is the real feminism? as Germaine Greer said:"the point was to change the male system, not to join it". although she enjoys her husband's art of home cooking; Fay Weldon says: "back to the kitchen, woman!". the name of my series comes from this phrase by Weldon. to me the truth is like a mirror broken onto thousands of pieces. each piece reflects some parts of the reality. but to find the truth you have to have the whole image; which is I guess beyond reach. these pictures are all self-portraits. each refers to some facts about feminism; either sarcastically or directly.

Caitlin Colford: Published in issue #7 Spring/Summer 2011
