Featured poet Frank Terry, from the Fall/Winter 2011 issue
BIO: Frank Terry is a 21 year old student attending Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois. Most weekends out of the year he can be found somewhere in the area playing electric or upright bass with a number of different bands. He enjoys Gothic Country, Alternative, and general acoustic music. When not at school or playing a show, he can usually be found with his friends, whose main goal as a group is to go out and acquire information.
SOARING OVER UTAH
Before tomorrow comes
We will know more.
Living in paradise
Can only be known internally.
It’s the only way.
Higher and higher we soar,
Over Utah today,
A nebula tomorrow.
Listen for the cries of a timeless insect.
He has so much to tell us
Of how men never loved
And why that has to change.
