You See A Flawless Soul

by Amber Ritchie

Forceful clouds reclaim their grey, summer rain.

Morning dew retracts before the stars go insane.

Deny illumination from my synthetic sun.

Remember the liquid knots that I continue to run.

Frighten me out of a gentle, dark song.

For hundreds of days, I've slept too long.
