Cristine A. Gruber has had work published in: North American Review, Writer’s Digest, Writers’ Journal, Ceremony: A Journal of Poetry and Other Arts, The Endicott Review, The Iconoclast, Miller’s Pond, The Penwood Review, Poem, The Poet’s Haven, Shemom, Thema, and Westward Quarterly. She has been a featured poet in Writer’s Digest for National Poetry Month. Cristine studied Literature and Philosophy at California Baptist University in Riverside, California. She is a member of The California State Poetry Society and The Poetry Society of America. Labyrinth
I’ve come this way before,
the walls around me so familiar,
closing in, squeezing tighter.
I recognize the scenery,
a maze of tangled memories,
inter-looped and folded over,
no beginning, no end,
color brightest towards the center,
dark and frayed around the fringe.
