END OF THE LINE
Night trains running into nothingness,
swallowed by the darkness – trains
of thought run amok down the wrong
tracks, no going back, clickety clack.
The city’s towers toll the hours with
weary rings as angels sing.
While you sleep, phantom armies march
the streets. They invade your dreams,
destroy and conquer everything.
The night moves on, dies at dawn
We live on.
The night trains run.
